questions to ask yourself when you're feeling bad
-
| 🍬 are you hungry ?
this is a totally serious question to ask yourself if you're in a bad mood. sometimes people are just grumpy from lack of food. and make sure to go for something healthy like fruit or grains.
-
| 🍢 are you thirsty ?
mild dehydration can cause anger, fatigue, and mood swings. so if you're in a bad mood try having some nutrition and a glass of water. cause there's basically no cons to water.
-
| πŸ› are you sleepy ?
when you're tired your brain isn't at it's full potential. a study showed that people who were sleepy overreacted and couldn't tell what was unimportant. if you know you probably didn't get enough sleep set an alarm and take a nap. stick to naps that are 45 minutes or less to avoid feeling groggy.
-
| πŸ› are you clean >
after you've checked all the stuff above and still don't feel better try a shower. cleanse yourself and relax. and you can feel nice and fresh when you step out.
-
| πŸ“ž staring for hours >
take into account if you've been staring at your phone for hours. i love scrolling on social media as much as the next person but too much can cause headaches, dizziness, and make you not feel the best. so get off your phone for a bit and do an activity.
-
| πŸ‘― are you lonely ?
sometimes not being social can make you upset. call someone you love and talk to them or chat with a friend. put yourself in a situation where you can connect with another human being.
-
| πŸ’ are you grumpy at yourself ?
are you beating yourself up for something you did/didn't do? please stop. take little steps to overcome it. think about what you can do to stop. or think of something you love.
-
| πŸ‹πŸ½ are you feeling overwhelmed ?
if yes, sit back and do a responsibility transfer. close your eyes, and think about all your concerns fading away.
-
| πŸ—― are you bogged down by negativity ?
if you're at that terrible places where you're surrounded with negative thoughts pull yourself out of that zone and write fifthy things you're grateful for.
-
| 🎎 has something specific happened that's getting you down ?
for example a situation that's going on with a friend or a family matter, if that's the case get out a journal and spill all your thoughts down. it will help relieve some stress you've been holding in.
-
if you've asked yourself all these questions and still feel bad that's okay. sometimes we're all just upset for no reason and it's natural. the only thing bad you could do is shame yourself for being upset. please don't do that to yourself.
